Why did you decide to join Zact?
I had decided to take a long-term career challenge and build up a product from the early stages, and it did not take long for Softlanding to contact me with the opportunity. After talking to them and Zact I saw how much the company fit my desires and my skills fit their needs. So far I’ve been able to do some of my most inspiring work in recent years.
What are your main responsibilities?
I’m currently working as a Frontend Developer, while also being able to take part in the design and product team.
How was your onboarding process?
Pretty good, everybody is really friendly and open to talk. From day one I managed to start working and meeting my new colleagues.
What are the biggest challenges in starting to work remotely? Did change something in your lifestyle?
I’ve been working remotely since 2016, so there wasn’t much of a challenge.
How is your daily routine?
The day starts well waking up early, exercising, getting things set up, then working my 8h and then I’m off to enjoy the rest of the day without any other hustle.
How do you keep in contact with your team?
Most of the contact is done online by Teams, usually, I talk to the people that are related to my tasks, as developers, designers, or stakeholders. While there are also meetings with the whole team.
What is the biggest advantage of starting to work remotely at a company?
I think the biggest advantage might be not having to take traffic or commute; it can take up to 2h to 4h of someone’s day just by doing that. To add to that, working remotely is good for the environment, and will also save you a lot of money and time.
How did Softlanding support you in this stage?
I’ve been talking to Softlanding for over a year looking for a perfect fit for me, which so far has been the right choice, since I couldn’t see myself working anywhere else. They assisted with the whole communication with their client and got everything perfect in every interaction and stage.
